Community Meeting @ SERHS Spring 2026

Urban Sustainability Solutions was honored to participate in a community outreach event at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School, working alongside teachers who have partnered with USS through our previous stormwater training and afterschool initiatives.

At the event, we focused on connecting students and families to ourSpring 2026 Afterschool Apprenticeship Program, sharing how hands-on training in green infrastructure can open doors to meaningful careers while serving the community.

Students and their families were divided into small groups to play a collaborative role-playing game that demonstrated how municipalities, nonprofits, and schools can work together to address local environmental challenges. The activity emphasized teamwork, problem-solving, and the importance of intergenerational and community-driven solutions.

The energy and curiosity from Southeast Raleigh students and their families reinforced the importance of meeting young people where they are and investing in pathways that lead to both environmental and community resilience.
