Carrboro Community Meeting

Urban Sustainability Solutions recently partnered with Carrboro Stormwater to host a small community meeting focused on supporting homeowners living near the Bolin Creek Watershed and surrounding areas. During the session, Stormwater Assistance Coordinator Cassie Pettit shared valuable insights on common stormwater challenges, including drainage, erosion, and flooding, while also helping residents understand which portions of local waterways are managed by municipal, state, or federal agencies. USS Founder and Chair Michael Dupree also spoke with attendees about the services we offer and how our partnership with Carrboro Stormwater helps identify issues, provide solutions, and raise awareness around stormwater management. The meeting created an open space for homeowners to ask questions, share concerns, and explore practical ways to improve conditions on their properties.
