Wake Young Men’s Leadership Academy Joins Growing More Than Rain Gardens

Urban Sustainability Solutions is excited to welcome Wake Young Men’s Leadership Academy as a new partner school in our Growing More Than Rain Gardens program. As we prepare for the upcoming fall season, we were thrilled to meet with students, parents, guardians, and teachers who are eager to become part of this growing network of environmental leaders and community partners.

During our recent community meeting, participants took part in our interactive role-playing activity, where they explored how municipalities, schools, students, homeowners, and nonprofit organizations work together to address stormwater challenges and improve local communities. The activity helped students and families better understand the collaborative nature of the program and the important role they can play in creating healthier environments.

We look forward to working with these talented students and teachers this Fall and providing a rewarding experience that connects education, career exploration, and community service.
