USS Summer Teacher Workshop

Another great workshop wrapped up! This month we held a teacher training at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School with 10 participants. All teachers earned their rain garden certification from NC Cooperative Extension. In addition to in-classroom sessions, the group had the opportunity to visit one of our recently completed projects in Raleigh, featuring two cisterns, a functioning rain garden, and a native plant bed. We’re excited to continue working with this latest batch of teachers to hold a future student apprenticeship program.
